The Door Switch is First Patented Door Sensor
The Door Switch is unique because it is the only only door sensor that extends above the top of the door. It has been working effectively since 2006. It went through rigorous testing and development before it came out on the market. The Door Switch team of engineers tested and created an anti-ligature product that would retrofit easily with most standard doors and would also pass a hospital’s standard inspection for smoke doors. We did not bring The Door Switch to market until we fine tuned the sensitivity of the pressure switch and eliminated the hinge points. Though we cannot claim this product is 100 percent suicide proof, we can say it is the best product on the market for top of the door coverage, minimal false alarms, and patients’ privacy.
